Exodus Overland Warranty:

Exodus Overland is built on the belief that we will build it right or we won’t build it at all. Planned obsolescence isn’t part of our DNA. We build hard-use gear to get you out there. With that being said, all products have an expected and realistic service life. Our commitment to stand by you and our products is listed below.

Standard Warranty offered:
  • We GUARANTEE fitment of a product for the advertised purpose. If for some reason something legitimately was manufactured wrong, we will make it right.
  • Bends and Weldments: We guarantee fitment and function of our bends, cuts and welds
  • All EXO overland products are backed by a 1 year manufacturers warranty. During this period users can expect proper fitment and performance when used correctly per our user manuals and instructions.
What is Not Covered under warranty:
  • Improper or Abusive use (This includes competition use, hard-core off-roading and rock bouncing, vehicle rollovers and accidents, and intentional destruction of products)
  • Overloading roof racks leading to damaged components
  • Hardware and replacement components
  • Finishes, paint, and finish processes
  • Damage to finishes or components due to normal use and expected wear and tear
  • Powder coat chips during use
  • rust, decay, or breaking down of components to due natural causes and outdoor environments
  • Theft, Loss, deliberate or cosmetic damage that does not affect the function of the product that was sold
Definitions:
  •  Proper Use: Each product has a user manual that is available in print and digital form. Please FULLY read each user manual to understand proper use. Products that are used OUTSIDE of their intended uses will not be subject to warranty replacements.
  • Hardware: the term hardware consists of any bolt, nut, washer, spacer, pin, clip or other device designed to fasten the target plate, system, or components to create the structure and system.
  • Failure: A Failure shall be known as a defect that leads to total loss of ability for product to be used as advertised or intended.
  • Failure of a weld: A failed weld is a weld that experiences a complete break that then leads to the malfunction or failure of the system.
  • Preventative maintenance: Preventative maintenance is maintenance that should be performed throughout the lifespan of all products
  • Normal wear and tear: Damage and wear that should be expected from proper use of our target systems over time.
Limited One Year Warranty:

Exodus Overland offers a 1 Year limited Warranty that covers fitment and function of the products that we produce/manufacture. This warranty starts from the DATE OF PURCHASE. This limited one-year warranty shall be known to cover failures of welds, bends, brackets, or components that result in an inability to use the product as designed. A “Failure” shall be known as a crack, FULLY broken weld or bracket, or other component that leads to the inability to safely use the product as designed. If the end user has followed all our proper use and care instructions and a failure has occurred during normal use, it may be subject to a replacement within the 1 year time period. Please note: We reserve the right to replace individual components. Approved warranty claims will be limited to, at our discretion, the replacement of the failed component and will not often or always result in a complete replacement of the entire product or assembly. This is at our sole discretion based upon the nature of the failure. Warranties for a particular part are limited to a “one replacement” policy. Meaning: We will replace a component one time under warranty per customer per order. Please follow instructions below to file a warranty claim.

OPTIONAL Limited Lifetime Warranty:

Exodus Overland offers an additional option for customers to streamline and extend the warranty process. This additional purchased warranty guarantees a fast replacement in the event of a failure. This process extends the warranty to a lifetime condition and offers the customer to redeem a one replacement in a lifetime of use. As stated in our one year warranty, we reserve the right to replace the broken component and will not often or always replace the entire assembly, product, or order. This is at our sole discretion. If you purchase this warranty and experience a failure, you will receive a “no questions asked” replacement. Please follow instructions below to file a warranty claim.

Normal Wear and Tear:

Products used in outdoor environments of any kind are expected to exhibit wear and tear over time. Normal wear and tear includes: 

  • Discoloration
  • Scratches in finishes
  • Chipped Powder Coat
  • Surface rust or oxidation
  • Lost hardware
  • Dents and bends
Preventative Maintenance:

Customers can substantially extend the life of our products by using simple preventative maintenance measures. These include:

  • Washing roof racks after trips
  • Waxing, Ceramic Coating of new products prior to use
  • Always cleaning of debris, dust, dirt, or other contaminants
  • Following all user manuals and instructions
  • Using common sense while deploying any exodus overland products

 

Instructions to file a claim: Upon placement of a customer’s order, the end user/customer must catalog and file the identifying number of their order. Keep this for future reference. Claims MUST be filed by original purchaser. Customers who purchased our products second hand would not be eligible for warranty. For one year warranty claims, the customer MUST file the warranty claim within 365 days from date of PURCHASE.

Filing a warranty claim: To file a warranty claim, customers should take several high- quality photos of the area of failure. Customers should then send the photos with a description of the possible damage/failure to CS@Exodus-Overland.com. Please title the subject “Warranty claim”. Our team will then respond within 7 business days to the initial correspondence. We will notify the customer if we feel that the item is not covered under warranty, or we will notify the customer that there may be damage or failure covered under the scope of our warranty. If we deem that there may be damage or a failure that falls under the scope of our warranty, we will require the end user to package and ship the damaged component to our location (1011 West Penn Avenue Robesonia, PA 19551) for physical inspection. Within 7 days we will physically inspect the damaged product and determine if the product is eligible for warranty. If we deem the product to be eligible for either our one-year warranty or lifetime warranty, we will issue a replacement product and notify the customer of the replacement product being issued. Please note this MAY take up to 14 days to process and ship a new replacement item for accepted warranty claims.

Exodus Overland reserves the right to make all final determinations for all warranty claims. If a claim has been determined to fall under our warranty, our customer will be entitled to ONE replacement of the exact same SKU. If a SKU is discontinued, Exodus Overland may offer a comparable SKU/product at our discretion of equal or lesser value. There will NEVER be a cash return for warrantied products. Warranty coverage offers one replacement per order/product over the life of the warranty for covered/approved claims.

You built your vehicle for real world use. Expect cosmetic wear and tear on all components and product that help get you into the wilderness. Have realistic expectations of what wear and tear should be expected. When you use tools and gear hard, damage occurs. Use it within the instructions we provide and use them in accordance to these rules and regulations. 

Final Authority:

Exodus Overland retains final authority to accept or deny any warranty claims. Exodus Overland reserves the right to update or alter this policy without notice. Customers should periodically contact Exodus Overland and request updated warranty information if desired. Standard warranty terms and conditions may change at any time. Purchased warranty terms will remain intact for the purchaser of the warranty, as stated at time of warranty purchase. Future orders may experience different warranty terms and conditions, so please read this page prior to each purchase.
